Backtesting
Backtesting allows you to simulate how a copy trading strategy would have performed historically — before committing real capital. This feature provides insight into potential performance, accounting for both SuperX and Hyperliquid fees, so you can make informed trading decisions.
How to Run a Backtest
Steps:
Go to trysuper.co and open the detail page for any trader or vault.
Scroll down until you find the Run Backtest button (located below the trader’s performance metrics).
Configure your settings:
Starting Balance: The USD amount you would have allocated.
Copy Size Multiplier: Choose how much to scale the trader’s position size (e.g.,
1×
,0.5×
,2×
).Time Frame: Select the historical period to test (e.g.,
1D
,7D
,12D
).
The backtest runs automatically and generates your simulated results.
Understanding Backtest Results
Once the backtest completes, you’ll see a performance summary including:
Total PnL
Net profit or loss you would have earned over the selected period, after all fees.
ROE
Return on Equity — percentage gain or loss relative to your starting balance.
Win Rate
The percentage of trades that were profitable.
Profit Factor
The ratio of total profit to total loss. A higher number indicates more profitable performance.
